Bridge House Publishing
Bridge House Publishing is a small independent publisher based in Manchester, founded by Gill James, young adult novelist and lecturer in Creative Writing at Salford University. Bridge House Publishing gave me my first publishing success and I have since had several short stories published.
I also became the publicist for the company and have recently conceived and seen through to its print run- Gentle Footprints, a special collection of short stories about wild animals to raise awareness about conservation and funds for the Born Free Foundation. I had the pleasure of working with Richard Adams (Watership Down) who wrote a wonderful new story and Virginia McKenna who wrote the foreword.
I was involved with the selection and the editing of the stories. I also worked with artists and conservation groups. It's been a fantastic experience.
The book was launched at the Hay-On-Wye Literary Festival on June 4th 2010 with Virginia McKenna and some of the featured authors.
