Tailor- Made Mentoring Scheme
To Suit Your Writing Needs
After talking to many budding writers (which I am myself) it has become apparent that there are many of you out there wondering what to do with your novel or your drawer crammed full of short stories. Some of you might enrol on an MA but this can be expensive. Some of you may join writing/critiquing groups (thoroughly recommended) and some of you might join local writing classes or attend an Arvon Course. But I think what most people really benefit from, whatever route you take, is one-to-one feedback.
I can of course offer this through my Critiquing Service but I can now offer a Mentoring Scheme for those wishing to work with me for longer. As a guide I can offer you approx. 1 hour per day, 5 days per week one-to-one critiquing - for 4 weeks (or other terms that suit you which we can discuss.)
This will take the form of feedback on submitted stories by email and telephone, full editorial critique and discussions. This might be useful if you have a particular project in mind, a group of stories, a novel, a novella.
The price will depend on how much work you need and the duration of the program but as a guide 20 hours for a month would cost approx. £250 (introductory rate.) I will make myself available to you for phone calls and advice at agreed times as well as the time spent on critiquing and/or editing your work.
I can't guarantee your work will be published of course but I can offer you my experience as a writer/publisher/editor to make it more publishable or whatever your goal for it is.
If you are interested I would need to see samples of your work to make certain I am the right person to help you- I can not help with very young children's writing, for example. When I see how much work is needed and how long you would like to work with me we can tailor-make the program that would suit you best and agree on a price.
