| About Me 
I have always written, it's as if I was born with a pen in my hand.
I wrote my first novel The Children of Cragheath Valley my Famous Five rip-off at nine years old and had my first taste of celebrity in my Canvey Island junior school (kind of!) Although it was sent to publishers, who made kind comments, of course that's as far as it went. I'm guessing it was pretty bad really!
But I never gave up on my writing dream.
Creative writing became a hobby when I set my sights on becoming a vet. I studied veterinary science at Liverpool University in the 90's, although health at the time prevented me from qualifying but I did regain my health and went on to get my BSc with honours in Biology.
I have since worked for the food and pharmaceutical industries and later went on to attain my MSc in Ecology at Bangor University in North Wales where I still live. I then worked for in the Healthcare Diagnostics Industry in global product support until April 2010. While working I studied for and succesfully attained my MA in Creative Writing in 2011. I now dedicate all my time to writing full time.This follows several writing successes with my short stories. I also work as the publicist and editor for Bridge House Publishing and am now the Director of a new publishing house called Paws n Claws Publishing. I also set up and run creative writing workshops for kids with my PAWS scheme.
With a background in science I also write and edit articles and scientific/technical reports. Tell me what you need and I can write it
I am happy to work with local North Wales companies but also more than happy to work with companies anywhere in the UK and outside the UK. Perhaps your first language isn't English and you need some help editing a paper? A letter? No job too small.
